The colour yellow/pitambri, most luminous of all the colours of the spectrum, resonates with the left or logic side of the brain stimulating our mental faculties, creating mental agility, perception, knowledge, mental clarity, intellect and inspires inquisitiveness. It brings happiness, joy and reminds us of beautiful carefree sunny summer day (sunshine). It is used in street signs and communicates cheerfulness, friendliness and energy.In heraldry, yellow indicates honour, loyalty and enlightenment. It is a symbol of optimism, idealism, courage and hope. It is the practical thinker not the dreamer. It makes people more mentally analytical. It relates to head not the heart. It is also the colour most often associated with the deity in many religions. Hence our “Ramians” would have a dress code of yellow/pitambri.
